PARADE AND MULTICULTURAL FESTIVAL 2017 FOR ALL AGES

  • Participants registration: 8:30-10: 00 am
  • Visitors: 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Time

  • Parade starts at 10:30 am from Arnold Bethune Park and stops at the Long Sault Arena
  • Long Sault Arena: Official Multicultural Festival opening (with communities leaders) upon completion of the parade.

Donation toward special needs people, artistically inclined, activities and dream realization

Description

Celebrate the 150th of Canada's Independence Day Anniversary through:

  • a parade (theme: Celebrating our ancestral origins) with the chance of winning trophies for
    • floats
    • vehicles of all kinds
    • motorcycles
    • bicycles
    • wheel chairs
  • multicultural performances
  • contest for booths representing our people's area countries of origins (one booth per country)
  • food art contest (real food)
  • contest for the creation of an immediate family crest (2 generations only, mother, father, children, pets)
  • contest for a municipal costume for each township of SD&G and Cornwall
  • sale of arts and crafts
  • introduction of South Stormont (priority) small businesses
  • introduction of South Stormont (priority) non-for-profit organizations (one table free of charge)
