I went to the riverfront to enjoy the live entertainment at the Bandshell.. I have
gone often, the Warm-up music was provided by Grace Willison, accompanied
on guitar by her father, Eric, also a well known singer from the local band, The
Shiners. Their country, soft and soulful, with very down-to-earth lyrics. They have
both written songs, and explained the background and meaning behind some of them. I
found myself singing or humming along, thoroughly entertained. The family devotion
is obvious, right down to their sharing one pair of sunglasses. Song's over, your turn! I was sure I'd remember the names of the songs but my favourite was "Let's Do Nothing Together."'
