Last night was a great time for the Ronathahonni Cultural Center & Hotinonhson:ni Cultural Youth group, as their young performers display an awesome performance of
Hotinonhson:ni drumming, singing, dancing, theatre plays, powwow style dancing and hoop dancing ..... all dedicated to our influential Elder Jake Swamp. Jake's grandchildren performed a tribute smoke dance in honor of him ... for the finale of the show.
Gerry Mcdonald young drummers were on cue every time and drum Hotinonhsonni songs on the big drum. Aboriginal Experiences Rhonda Doxtator expressed "That the youth here in Akwesasne are very dedicated and focus on learning all the details cultural
singing, dancing & performing and it shown tonight as they all performed with energy, grace and intensity. We are very proud to be associated with these young performers who are surely on their way to being teachers and professionals: .
Our youth were spectacular and did a flawless performance in front of an audience of two hundred and seventy five people. We are proud of their accomplishments.
