Syd Gardiner and Syd Le Jardinier as he likes to remind us, showcases himself both in the garden and in music on the stages of organizations working on campaigns
financing or at Aultsville Theatre and during activities at Centre Culturel de Cornwall, etc. He always sings; he event performed at Montreal Jazz Festival, Toronto and Hamilton at the sound of his band The Teen bit of time.
Community wise, he served on the City Council of the City of Cornwall since November 2006. He also served for five years on Tourism Committee Cornwall and Seaway Valley. He is part of the committees of the Cornwall Regional Airport Cornwall Community Woodhouse Museum, Emergency Management and the Advisory Committee. He also serves on the boards of the Centre Culturel de Cornwall, the CHOD FM radio and is vice-president of Aultsville Theatre.
1- Are you a morning or night person? Morning.
2- What is your favourite day of the week? I love them all. Every day brings something new.
3- Do you keep a diary? No, but I have notes on politics, and what should be changed.
4- What is your motto? Do unto others as you would that do to you.
5. What was your childhood dream? I dreamed of being a musician, singer and actor.
6- If you could change the world, what would you change? I would banish hate it there would be no war.
7- A talent you wish you had? I wish I could express myself and be understood.
8. What is your favourite topic of discussion? I like to talk about my grandchildren.
Everywhere I go I talk about them, but I also love talking politics.
9- A profession that you admire? Teacher.
10- You proudest thing? My marriage to my wife Sharon brings the tender moments: it is a gift.
11. When it comes time to being informed are you the radio, TV, Internet or
newspaper type? All media.
12- What puts you on edge? Unprepared people talking through their hats, asking questions because they have not done any research.
13. Would there a reason to give your shirt of your back? The Africa, children who are just skin and bones. My wife and I give money, but it is not enough.
14. Your greatest folly made because love? I wanted to go out with a girl who was to
become my wife. I asked if it bothered her to go out with a man who was younger than her. She turned me out!
15- The finest quality a person can have? Loving and tender.
16. What country would you like to visit? China.
17- White wine or red wine? White wine.
18- What would you like to be said about you? I am a genuine person.
19. The most beautiful woman in the world? Sharon, my wife. She was model,
now she looks twenty years younger.
20- What you always procrastinate? The work at home because I am never there.
21 - What is your greatest fear? Losing a child, my wife or others in my family.
22- A highlight of your life? The birth of my children.
23- Your favourite song? Melancholy of Louvain. I translated it and I sang it five years ago accompanied on the sax.
25- What you like in Cornwall? Cornwallis a united nation. I like the positive transition in the city. The infrastructure makes proud people.
26- What you hate in Cornwall? Those who are negative towards the city.
27. Love is? Tender moments.
28. You find a magic lamp, the genie offers to fulfill three wishes, what are they? Remove poverty worldwide. To find my mother, my wife and all those whom I love in heaven. And peace on earth.
29- Your sports prefer? Baseball.
30- Your biggest lie ? For two months, I made my little son Alexander believe I had thrown his BlackBerry in the St. Lawrence.
31- The most important person in your life? My mother and my wife.
33- Your reason for living? What I can learn tomorrow for the purpose of discovering.
34- In a word the child you were? Terror.
35- The teen you were in two words? Popular musician.
36- The adult in three words? Integrity, honesty, devoted
37-What heaven looks like for you? Heaven is where I am right now, today.
38- The first thing you do when you wake up in the morning? Exercise.
39. Are you afraid of death? No, I am looking forward to see what is on the other side.

42- Your favourite animal? A lion for its strength, and because he is a hunter.
43- Your favourite actress? Elizabeth Taylor. She was born a Leo.

47- Zodiac sign? Do you read the horoscope? Sagittarius. I read it from time to time, but what they say never happens.
48- What would you like to be told you? I'm doing good.
49- What animal represents you the most? The lion and the tiger. I'm aggressive.
50- If you could be well known public figure, who would it be for a day? Pierre Elliott Trudeau.
51. What would you do in the shoes of Pierre Elliott Trudeau? The same
thing he did: working for the best country in the world, Canada
