The Akwesasne Kanien'kehaka Ratirennenhawi first formed l0-years ago and had been known at that time as the Akwesasne Young Men's Singing group. Since then the group has matured into a singing group who will travel to locations both near and far to showcase Kanien'keha culture.

Members 'of the group include Ian Clute, Steven King, Lelan Clute, Alex 'Dudes' Thompson, Nihahsennaa Peters, Ronatines Day, Rawisaketskwas Montour, Jeffrey Clute, Aronhiaies Heme and Honko Jock.

The Akwesasne Kanien'kehaka Ratirennenhawi have regularly worked with local schools and programs including Headstart, elementary and high schools. They have also traveled to many different colleges at the request of Akwesasronon attending various institutions like Cornell University, Dartmouth University and Syracuse University. Locally they have helped with many benefit socials at the longhouses and have made presentations
at events hosted within the community for out of town visitors in order to share Kanien'keha culture with them.

Regardless of the audiences prior experience with Haudenosaunee socials, Akwesasne Kanien'kehaka Ratiren'nenhawi manage to engage and invite participation. Although they do not formally charge for hosting a social, they will accept any donations offered.

If they are asked to travel outside of the territory they will ask for assistance for travel and lodging if necessary. To contact Akwesasne Kanien'kehaka Ratirennehawi ask any of their members either in person or on Facebook to book for events.
