The unusual work of Dwight
Saunders and Helder Ambrosio
also attracted a lot of interest at
~ the Craft show. The artists began
creating their "babies" about
a year ago. Each of . the infants
possesses ~ unique and individual
face.

"The faces are painted six to 14
times," Helder explained, "and
baked in between. The hair is
planted strand by strand and all
ethnicities are represented. The
dolls are weighted to feel like a
real baby, and each takes a full
week to complete."

The delicious lunch at the show
was made available by the Knox
Women's Missionary Society.
