Lining the walls of the corridor of the Centre Culturel de Cornwall are showcased more than 20 works of quilt, all wearing bright colors and full of emotions.

Cotton works are the fruits of many hours of hard work by Reina Trudel and Monique Wilson. The mother daughter duo said they did not just love the quilts, but also the arts. "Creating a quilt takes a lot of artistic talent, says Wilson, because you have to see everything before using a very big machine." "It takes time to complete these large projects, says Reina Trudel, with a smile. One of my work took me three and a half years to complete "

It also appears that the love of art is a trait of the whole family., "My youngest daughter made arts with jewellery, my second, uses doe crochet while my son is a carpenter," says Mrs. Trudel proudly. Although the art world is often filled with happiness, however it can also disappear quickly. Two years ago, a fire destroyed the home of Mrs. Wilson, destroying over 60 quilt works. "I lost all of the art I made ,'' she said.. All but one, to be exact. After fire, I found the quilt made by my paternal grandmother. Except for a few small marks, it was not affected by the fire. "

Several other artists of the Apple Hill community have helped out. "I live in Apple Hill where we have a small group of quilters, says Wilson. After the fire, the ladies of the group got together and made me a beautiful quilt. "
