The Centre culturel Les Trois p'tits points of Alexandria hosted the artist Jeannine St-Amour during its opening on April 1.
Jeannine has always been fascinated by all forms of art; for her the possibilities are as varied as the subjects. This is an interest that continued throughout her life and exploring and studying different aspects of visual art. She researches often the different in the common or the extraordinary in the ordinary and has developed a special fascination for the omnipresence of abstraction in nature and all that surrounds it. She tries to go beyond appearances preserving a unique and creative approach. In a few words, it is the beauty of the unknown, she likes to discover, capture and share her passion, her universe.
According to her, we must dispose of the label or realism to get a new vision of the common especially in macro photography. She does not want to show only what things look like closely, but provoke the imagination by offering to the eye a range of interpretations which leads the observer to think or see a variety of interpretations that brings the observer thinking or questioning what he sees.
Her dearest wish: Provide as much emotion she was able to feel during the magic moment which was in harmony with her while shooting.
