Wayne Gosselin has been doing photography, during in his spare time, since the age of 12. During his travels, he used to take landscape photos. Last week, he opened his exhibition at the Corrid'Art a the Centre culturel de Cornwall.
This Cornwall resident fell into photography "by accident". "I do not consider myself a photographer or artist," he says. For 32 years he has worked in the field of education. Retired since 2001, he is now coach travel. He became coach travel because he knew the owner of a travel agency. During his travels, he was able to photograph landscapes and people.
He adorned the rooms of his house with his finest photos. At age 12, a friend introduced him to photography. Mr. Gosselin was taking photos of landscapes. He eventually accumulate an "excess of photos."
It was then proposed to him to exhibit a selection of his travel photos. In addition, photos taken are for sale. During the exhibition, we see pictures that lead us into the world of natural and urban landscapes. Others show people living their daily lives. It also has a section showing food delights of the world.
The continent that charmed him the most is Africa, particularly Tanzania. "We were in the wilderness and inside a cage (Author's note: guided tour of nature), he remembers. The animals came near us while a vehicle pulled the cage. We observed them in their natural habitat. "During this tour, he saw a cheetah kill a deer and a mother elephant blocked the way to the tourist vehicle because her offspring had not yet crossed the road. "It's a life lesson," he said.
In the end, Wayne Gosselin hopes entice people to travel after seeing his photos on display
