Labrecque Sylvie

Sylvie Labrecque was born and raised in the beautiful Quebec region of Saguenay. As a Visual Arts teacher, she holds a Bachelor Interdisciplinary Arts and Certification in Education Science from the Université du Québec in Chicoutimi.

Sylvie's works are predominantly in mixed medium painting on canvas and wood. She paints faces where eyes prevail, with bold lines and textures; in the same image, she recreates the inside and the outside the personage.

Her works were displayed at Aunt Gertrude’s House in Guthrie, Oklahoma, USA, and also at Kingston School of Art, Ontario. She recently exposed at the 2014 TAG Annual Juried Exhibition. Sylvie now resides in Cornwall, Ontario.
