Painter : Watercolour

She has no formal training in the Arts. Her Mother, aware of Simone's artistic skills, even at a very young age, greatly encouraged her daughter. She spent a lot of time drawing and colouring in her playhouse. It had always been her dream to become an artist. It wasn't until she retired in Cambridge, Ontario in 2002, that she was able to begin taking art classes.

She moved to Cornwall, Ontario in June 2012 and continued to take classes to brush up on her skills. Although her first love is painting in watercolours, she also enjoys dabbling with mixed media and drawing in pen and ink.

After one year in Cornwall, she entered the 2012 Focus Art Juried Show and won an Honourable Mention for her watercolour “Weather Beaten Birdhouse“. At present, she has paintings exhibited at the Seaway Centre, and has paintings on exhibit and for sale in Morrisburg, Ontario. She is a member of Focus Art in Cornwall. Simone hopes to pursue her passion for the arts in the future.
