The Centennial Choir of Cornwall was formed in 1967 (Canada’s Centennial Year) by Brian McCartney from a nucleus of members who sang in the Cornwall Collegiate and Vocational School choral group and the Edgar Shaw Hansen Singers. The choir has a long history of excellence and has performed in many local venues as well as in England, Wales, and USA. The choir performs music that ranges from sacred to secular, modern to classical and popular to jazz. Each year the choir hosts a Christmas Concert and a Spring Concert in Cornwall. The choir is currently under the able direction of Lisa Zeran with the accompanist and assistant director Felicity Svenson.
