I was born in Cornwall Ontario in 1971, only child of two loving parents who are still very much together. The only time I have left Cornwall was to go to College and working in such cities as Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal. I have travelled to Australia for a few months on holiday. It is there while visiting there beautiful beaches that I discovered my love of playing music. I saw the influence I had on people, and how I made them feel. Upon living in Montreal I discovered Montreal Tam Tams which was full of beautiful people gathering every Sunday to drum and dance and have a good time. I found a small bongo that my mom’s aunt had given to me as a child and started playing it. I found that I could really play. I needed a larger drum, and one day there it was in an antique store window. It was a large drum like not other drum with carvings all over the drum. I was a gift from the angels above, it is called a Bamileke Drum. I brought it to tam tams every week and learnt to really play. After that, I was hooked and save up to buy as many different types of drums to learn new styles. Now living back in Cornwall, I’m hoping to bring the same type of pleasure I had in Montreal with drumming. I would love to have many friends playing drums in the park enjoying life. I drum almost every Saturday by the water at Lamoureux Park. I hope to bring a true love of drumming to as many people possible.
