Dominique (Do) Nadia is nominated at the ''Gala des prix Trille Or 2011'' in the category for Best young audience album with ''Pattes de velours.'' Dominique Nadia had been nominated in three categories in 2007 and 2009.
"It's always flattering to be nominated at a place where the community of Franco-Ontarian artists is recognized. And this year, for the first album for children, this nomination is a great mark of appreciation for the whole team and myself, "said Dominique Nadia.
Usually singer-songwriter, the artist is a performer and producer for this album. "The launch took place in the month September in Moose Creek. This is very recent. Being nominated so quickly is a sign that ''Pattes de velours'' was well received by the public. It is also the assurance and omen of a good two years to come! "
Dominique Nadia favours family flavour albums. "The style of the songs of Joe Dassin, listened by the whole family, in the car! Thanks to this, I have always been close to the children. I did shows in schools with these albums, in Saint Lucia, John XXIII, The Source in Moose Creek ... "
"The project of this children's album began in 2007. At that time, I was in France for the launch of the album '' Dans l'air figé.'' Then, once the decision was made to go ahead with ''Pattes de velours'', we communicated over the Internet between France and Canada. »
"I will be present for the Gala. It is very important to me, as much as the nominations. This Gala is above all a celebration of all the Franco-Ontarian community of artists and an opportunity to see us. We all have the same passion, but rarely get to meet. During this event, we'll see, we'll exchange! " says the artist.
Do is an Outaouais artist, originally from Cornwall, Ontario, who already has a long track record. The album ''Pattes de velours'' features eight texts on the theme of cats by Patrick Jaymes, music by Paul Glaeser and arrangements of Title Label A. The voice of the singer was recorded and mixed in the area of ??the national capital region by Jean-Michel Ouimet at Studio Sonopub. Dominique Nadia is preparing her fourth album for mature audiences.
This sixth edition of ''Gala des prix Trille Or '' will be broadcast live on March 24, 2011, and broadcast on CBC Television. http://www.dominiquenadia.com/
