CORNWALL - Three years ago, Taylor Bingley and Nigel Bazinet began with a one-night-only rock-show which was a smashing success. "We saw how well the first time went, so we decided to add an acoustic night the second year/to appeal to a broader demographic,'' said Bingley.
The Djs spinning tracks in between sets were also a hit, so this year they will have a night all to themselves. "Cornwall has always had a reputation of being home to an incredible amount of musical talent,'' said Bazinet. "Our annual festival is the largest: showcase of local talent the city has to offer." If the music wasn't enough to draw a crowd, Bingley said they will have a couple of draws for an Indie guitar and Ottawa Senators tickets.
With 28 artists and bands, it will be a packed festival. "We're glad to have a lot of acoustic talent on board," said Bingley. "It's a very stacked line-up,'' said Bingley, the guitar player for participating band 17 Yates. "It's one of the bigger festivals of the year.''
He's expecting at least 600 people to attend. Some of the proceeds will be given to a local charity, though Bingley said they haven't decided which one to help out this year. "We always like to do something in the community.'' he said.
