The Seaway Winds Concert Band, directed by Barb Hunter, will present the first concert in their 11th Concert Series Season, entitled "A River Runs By''.
Following the theme of the concert, Seaway Winds will present compositions that describe the St. Lawrence and other rivers in the world, as well as English and French sailing songs. C-Way Sound will sing popular "sea songs" and songs that tell about rivers, including a few members of C-Way Sound singing the famous song about the Mississippi River, "01' Man River" from the musical "Show Boat," accompanied by Seaway Winds.
The second concert in the Concert Series is directed by Associate Director, Raymond Lacroix. It will feature well-known cellist, Therese Motard.
The third concert in the Series is Saturday, Barb Hunter is back on the podium for a concert entitled, "Jamboree!" Featured guest soloist is Cornwall's prominent balladeer, Graham Greer, who will be playing his guitar and singing some of his own songs as well as assisting Seaway Winds.
Musicians, regardless of age, who plays a concert band instrument at least at the intermediate level, are welcome to consider joining Seaway Winds.
