Chateau Cornwall hosted their 4th Annual Cornwall's Senior Star shinning and musical instrument competition on Thursday June 17 2010. Ten talented local seniors competed into the Canadian Idol-type event, the winner of which will be among those considered for the finals this fall in Toronto.
The first place winner was John Dair, who was persuaded by his friends to tryout for the contest. Dair, who considers music as a means of expression, in the past played in a pop band in Montreal and is now part of the Blessed Sacrament Church choir. For the competition he sang Those Were the Days, by Mary Hopkins.
