Backyard Garden is the result of three years of hard work and a life- time of passion for local signer/song writer Maurice Michaud. The father of three, who by day is a personal support worker, describes his music as a mixture of folk/country and folk/rock.

Influenced by some of the greatest poets of all time, Bob Dylan and Neil Young, Michaud's lyrics are inspirational and paint vivid pictures of life and love and the "freight train that goes by (his) hometown." The very professionally produced collection includes performances by top notch session musicians, including Gerry Clancy on drums. His first two singles from the CD, "Flying on Love" and "Freight Train Goes by My Hometown" are receiving some radio play.
