Liane Geoffrion is a self-taught artist who loves realistic details of local scenes of Canada as well as Florida. After working with paint on stained glass and decorative painting she began painting on canvas and discovered a passion that continues to grow. All mediums of painting: oil, watercolor, are explored but acrylic is her favourite. Her subjects include portraits of children, adults, animals and birds, but exposure of landscapes that we perceive to Corrid'Art in June brings us the serenity that Liane was able to pass on in her paintings.
Despite her short journey in the visual arts, she discovered this new passion five years ago that led her to paint more than 60 paintings. The arts community in Canada and the United States gave her awards for her achievements which encouraged her to proceed in the area and maybe even the teaching of this visual medium of expression.
A visit to the Corrid'Art of ''Le Centre culturel de Cornwall'' offers a walk in the serene and colourful world of nature that the artist Liane Geoffrion was able to capture on canvas. This is a tour not to be missed that ends the artistic program of the Corrid'Art for the year 2010-2011.
