Ewart Cameron is a 28 year old promising artist with a bright future.

For as long as he can remember, Ewart has been doodling. As a kid, he always loved
reading the newspaper comic strips and enjoyed watching cartoons and reading comic
books. At age 9, Ewart started toying with his own comic strip inspired by his pet cats.

In high school, Ewart saw the opportunity to take his doodling a step further and created a comic character for the school newspaper. The Mystic Eye enlightened the content of the Glengarry District High School in Alexandria for a few year. People really enjoyed the sinister humour and so the Mystic Eye lived on for a few years.

After high school, Ewart went to college in radio. After graduating, he became a creative
writer at Corus Entertainment. "I write commercial copy that you hear on the radio ...
All the good ones, that is! LOL." While in college, the cartoons were put on the back burner. Studying was the prime focus. But Ewart's passion kept on nagging, asking to be revived.

The internet and the ease of publishing over the internet is what lured Ewart back to drawing. Seeing the possibility of reaching a vast audience affordably, he launched an internet comic strip with Canada Man as the main character. It started as a typical comic, with story lines and all, but Ewart was finding it difficult to keep up with long plots and storytelling while at the same time working full time. So Canada Man became more of a political satire.

After attending the ARTpreneur convention in November, where he took third place in the 2010 ARTpreneur Grant contest, The Local Seeker approached Ewart to draw a cartoon for the paper. Coffee Chain was born.

And Ewart has also broaden his horizon. He recently designed an album cover for a friend of his and also does cartoons designs, which allows him to experience a totally different and unique canvas.

A very promising illustrator indeed, our Ewart is. Visit Ewart's website at www.ekcomics.com or look for him on Facebook. search for Ewart K. Cameron. And of course, look for his cartoon every week.
