Terra Tashi creates interesting dung sculptures such as this rabbit sculpture with the help of her two poitou donkeys.
CORNWALL - Terra Tashi has been all over the world searching for what makes her happy and she has found it with the help of her two rare poitou donkeys and an unexpected form of art .
Tashi has recently opened up her showroom of unique vases and necklaces which can be used in many different ways. The items are not made from regular clay or glass substances but instead, they are made with pure poitou dung. The dung is used to make
interesting hand-crafted ornaments for any garden as a planet friendly fertilizer. "It's a passion for me, I'm not doing it for the money," said Tashi.
Among the popular purchases are dung truffles, a poitou life necklace for the extended life of plants, dual-purpose poitou dung prehistoric vases and dung designs.
The fertilizer vases are the most popular as they are available: in many sizes and are practical and durable. Plants can be inserted in the vases to keep them healthy and
long lasting. "(All the vases) are one of a kind although they're the same model,'' said Tashi.
The products are available at the Terra Tashi Gallery Studio on 4301 Whittaker Road in Boucks Hill on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursdays at 10

The products can also be found at various markets including in Ottawa and Chesterville
and local shops such as Village Antiques Tea Room Bed & Breakfast in Williamsburg.
