Trasuk came to Cornwall to teach science at St. Lawrence High School and joined the Cornwall Operatic Society.
A founding member of Glen Productions, he produced about one dozen shows, appearing in several, mostly in the chorus.
Trasuk was a long-time board member, as treasurer, business manager and president (five times).
He also got involved with Upper Canada Playhouse for six years, serving one year as president.
Trasuk also produced three cabarets to support Encore Seniors.
An eastern representative for the Eastern Ontario Drama League, he participated during the late 1970s and late 1990s, eventually becoming president for three years in the late 2000s.
Trasuk was awarded the Queen's Jubilee Medal in 2002.
Until recent ill health, he was on the Aultsville Theatre board for six years.
