Justin Labelle is an extremely talented artist, right here in Cornwall and I was excited when I recently got to interview him in the Seeker style of 5 questions as he delivered the wonderful prints that you see on our front cover, to us at the Seeker this past week.
Question 1: How did you discover this talent of yours and when did you do your first sketch and also who was your first sketch?
I guess I first discovered my talent in grade 3 when I was told-to draw something and I decided to draw my hand.
Question 2: Who influenced you to start sketching?
My older brother first influenced me to start drawing. He would draw anime characters and I would sit beside him copying everything he would draw.
Question 3: Do you only sketch from photographs or from real life models as well?
I can sketch from real life models but prefer photographs.
Question 4: Now that your talent has been exposed, I'm sure you'll get more requests for sketches. If someone wants you to do a sketch for them, how would they contact you?
Anyone looking to commission me for any work can contact me through my Facebook page at www.facebook.com/thebeautifularts
Question 5: The draws that you do for your prints on Facebook, are they regular or spontaneous?
For now they are spontaneous and I decided to do them on Facebook simply just for more publicity.
