Under the Blue Tin Roof

In a welcoming cottage,
It's time, to rediscover,
Friendships tolerant of differences,
Hugs, that are true,
Colourful tulips come to life,
Far more beautiful as time passes,
like us!

Humble feast is prepared,

Saucy Italian Prosciutto Rose sauce,
Complex in character,
Brilliant texture created with peas,
Soulful flavour of creamy garlic Roma tomatoes,
Fresh linguini pasta strung all over the walls,
Scattered here there and everywhere,
Worldly cheeses, sharp and velvety,
Wisely paired with their soul mates,
Like us!

It's time for an adventure,
Sack onto Highway #2 we go,
Steady at the helm our driver is,
Hunter checks in, no venison to be had,
Walking on cobblestone streets of Montreal is trickv,
Artistically sewn cloths, beautiful with every stitch,
Le Marche de l' Quest. .. a foodie experience,
Taste of Traditional Quebec Sugar Pie,
Peckish are you? knishes are the answer,
A worthy adventure,
Like us!

Back Under the Blue Tin Roof,
The evening passes far too quickly,
Indian Butter Chicken- too full,
Samosas dipped in mango chutney,
Easy conversations take us for a ride,
Wine and beer bottles stacked high.
It's the next day already,
Good night my dear friends,
Under the Blue Tin Roof!

Morning snow all about,
Here there and everywhere.
Well my flavourful adventurous friends,
We've been around the world and back/
Creating everlasting memories again,
What a delight.
Like us!

Note:
The Blue Tin Cottage is located along the St. Lawrence River on Highway #2 near Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry's well known riverside eatery the Blue Anchor Bar & Grill. The cottage was a great spot for long time friends to reconnect.
