Aubin Paul

  • Aubin Paul

is a stage actor with the Seaway Valley Theatre Company.

Paul has been involved in community theatre in one way or another since the age of thirteen, starting with the CCVS Drama Club during his high school years. He spent most of the 1990s working on several shows staged by both Vagabond Theatre and Trapdoor Theatre before deciding to take a break in 1997. That break inadvertently lasted fourteen years, but he returned to the stage in November 2011 with a small role in the SVTC's production of "Barefoot in the Park."

Things gradually snowballed from there, earning roles in the company's productions of "Chicago," "Les Misérables," "Monty Python's Spamalot," and others. He's no stranger to working backstage, either, working mostly as a sound effects designer for the company's smaller shows and annual children's plays.

He's also a volunteer stage crew member for professional shows staged at the Aultsville Theatre, and this summer he'll direct a production of Edward Albee's "Seascape" for the city of Cornwall's 2015 Arts in the Park program.

In addition to his stage work, Paul is a piano student at Limelight Music Academy, a hobbyist graphic designer, and can often be found lounging with his laptop and a pot of green tea at The Grind.
